The University Fact Book provides an annual snapshot of data that demonstrates its commitment to monitoring performance.
Organization of the 2010-2011 Fact Book
Section 1 or "Samuel Merritt University Evaluation Cycles and Data Collection Tools/Processes" provides mandatory and public reporting of institutional facts (external/regulatory) conducted throughout the academic year.
Section 2 or "Dashboard of Institutional Performance" is a visual display conveying at a glance a summary of the most important information about SMU's performance.
Section 3 or "Institutional Survey Data" contains surveys maintained by Institutional Research that address cross-divisional priorities. Select survey data are presented in the Fact Book. Detailed data are available in the office of Institutional Research (IR).
Section 4 or "Departmental Survey Data" contains surveys that reflect priorities for a single division.
Section 5 or "Data Exhibits (Institutional Data and WASC)" display institutional data and mandated WASC data sets required for continuing accreditation. All tables contain 5 years of data and trends.
